Empowering Change

By Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana | Project Leader

Dear Esteemed Supporters,

On behalf of the Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary Organization (RWAYDAVO), I wish to express our sincere gratitude for your steadfast support and belief in our mission. Your generosity continues to inspire and sustain our efforts to create meaningful, community-driven change across Rwanda.

I’m pleased to share a current update on our initiative, “Build a Bright Future for 25 Marginalized Girls.” Since launching our fundraising campaign, we have made encouraging progress, raising $232 toward our goal. While we are still mobilizing additional resources to begin full implementation, each contribution—large or small—brings us closer to turning this vision into reality.

This project is designed to equip 25 vulnerable young women with practical skills in sewing, handicrafts, and bag making, empowering them to generate sustainable livelihoods and support their families with dignity. In addition, we plan to establish a women-led cooperative through which participants can collaborate, market their products, and reinvest 50% of their earnings to train and uplift more girls in the future.

This initiative goes beyond vocational training—it is a movement for empowerment, self-reliance, and renewed hope. By supporting it, you are helping transform lives, foster resilience, and create opportunities that ripple through entire communities.

We remain deeply grateful for your continued partnership and encouragement. Together, we are not only building skills—we are building confidence, independence, and a brighter future for Rwanda’s young women.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Jean Damascene Uwizeyimana
President, RWAYDAVO
