By Pat Boland | Rural Poultry Centre Director
Exciting progress is underway in Chadza, Malawi, where our incredible local partners at the Rural Poultry Centre are bringing a vision to life—brick by brick.
Thanks to your generous support, key construction milestones have now been achieved for the new Farmer Field School. The incubation room and storeroom are nearly complete, marking a big step forward in our efforts to support small-scale poultry farmers with practical, hands-on learning.
Once finished, this school will be a vital hub for rural communities. It will provide training in raising healthy chickens, growing nutritious food, and building sustainable income-generating enterprises. With demand for chicks on the rise, the centre will also support local chick production creating lasting economic opportunities for families in the region.
But we’re not quite there yet. The final touches windows, gates, incubator equipment, and training for the new management team are still needed to make the centre fully operational.
We’re excited to share a new video update that gives you a sneak peek at the nearly completed facility. You’ll see firsthand the incredible progress your support has helped make possible.
