Every day, vulnerable girls across rural Nigeria face difficult choices that no child should ever have to make. Many are forced to choose between education and survival as poverty, insecurity, and harmful social norms threaten their futures. Through Empower Future Initiative's Girls Education and Empowerment Project, we are working to ensure that girls remain in school and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Education remains one of the most powerful tools for breaking the cycle of poverty. When girls stay in school, they are less likely to experience child marriage, exploitation, and gender-based violence. They are more likely to become healthy, productive, and economically independent adults.
Our goal is to support 300 vulnerable girls in Nasarawa State with school sponsorships, mentorship opportunities, leadership training, and life-skills education. While we have begun laying the foundation for implementation, many girls are still waiting for support.
