Child marriage remains one of the greatest threats to girls' rights and education in many underserved communities. Every year, thousands of girls lose the opportunity to pursue their dreams because they are married off before reaching adulthood.
Through this project, Empower Future Initiative is addressing one of the root causes of child marriage: lack of access to education. Research consistently shows that girls who remain in school are significantly less likely to marry before age 18.
Our approach combines education sponsorship, community awareness, mentorship, and leadership development. We engage parents, traditional leaders, teachers, and community stakeholders to promote girls' education and challenge harmful practices that limit opportunities for young women.
By investing in girls today, donors help create healthier families, stronger communities, and sustainable economic growth.
