Mente en Acción

En el 2023 se finalizaron 3 ediciones de MenTe en Acción (20º y 21º) en modalidad híbrida, todas enfocadas en mujeres con edades entre los 15 y los 19 años. Adicionalmente, en este momento se está desarrollando la 22º edición.

La 20ma edición tuvo lugar del 11 de febrero al 15 de abril, se graduaron 50 mujeres, quienes desarrollaron 8 prototipos de aplicación móvil con el apoyo y guía de 16 Technical Mentor (personas voluntarias). Para esta edición se contó con el patrocinio de Accenture, P&G, Emerson e IBM. En esta edición en total se hicieron 700 horas de voluntariado. 

La 21ra edición se ejecutó del 13 de mayo al 15 de julio, se graduaron 52 mujeres, quienes desarrollaron 8 prototipos de aplicación móvil y se contó con 18 Technical Mentors. Las empresas patrocinadoras de esta edición fueron IBM, Accenture, P&G y Emerson. En esta edición en total se hicieron 774 horas de voluntariado. 

La 22da edición se ejecutó del 19 de agosto al 21 de octubre, y se graduaron 52 mujeres.  Se  llevó cabo gracias al patrocinio de BM, Accenture, P&G y Emerson y finalizará el 21 de octubre. 

Todas las participantes del programa son becadas y se les brinda la alimentación y transporte para las sesiones presenciales. 

En todas las ediciones contamos con el apoyo de Efecto Boomerang. 

Women in Action: Employable Training Program

Gracias a la embajada de Estados Unidos, en el 2022 comenzamos este nuevo programa que tiene una duración de 6 meses en los que 37 mujeres de entre 18 y 30 años fueron becadas para capacitarse en un perfil junior de una de dos áreas: Ciberseguridad o Ciencia de Datos, según su elección. La capacitación en estos perfiles se realizará mediante la plataforma Coursera, a partir de la cual las participantes podrán completar la currícula.

Además, las participantes recibieron una preparación integral para la empleabilidad, teniendo clases de inglés todos los martes, sesiones de Checkpoint para acompañar sus avances, y sesiones presenciales de habilidades para la empleabilidad como lo son: Liderazgo de género, Taller de LinkedIn y Aprendizaje Continuo, Empoderamiento de género, Auto-sabotaje y Auto-promoción y Taller de elaboración del currículum. 

Adicionalmente contamos con el apoyo de Accenture e IBM.

Todas las participantes reciben alimentación para las sesiones presenciales y según el lugar donde se lleve a cabo la sesión también el transporte.

En el mes de agosto dimos inicio a la 2da edición donde 40 mujeres de diferentes partes del país podrán certificarse en AWS y Cloud o Ciencia de Datos. Esta segunda edición cuenta con el patrocinio de Accenture, Emerson e IBM y finalizará el 31 de enero. 

En ambas ediciones contamos con el apoyo de Efecto Boomerang y Universidad Cenfotec.

Red Mente

Las actividades de la Red Mente siguen siendo en su mayoría virtuales, hemos organizado talleres y charlas de temas relacionados con Tecnologías, Excel, Estadística, Revolución Industrial 4.0, finanzas personales, Recomendaciones para el CV, entre otras. 

Adicionalmente, algunas actividades han sido presenciales como por ejemplo: visitas a empresas como Edwards, IBM, charlas con la Dra. Sandra Cauffman, entre otras. 

Niñas hacia el espacio

Niñas Hacia el Espacio es un programa gratuito de Ideas en Acción, dirigido a niñas entre 7 y 9 años que quieran explorar las áreas STEAM por medio del juego y actividades vivenciales. En este 2023 90 niñas de las provincias de San José, Cartago y Alajuela han participado del programa. 

Este programa se ejecutó gracias al patrocinio de Emerson y Yo me Uno - Bac Credomatic y con el apoyo del Museo de los Niños en San José, Centro Cívico por la Paz de Cartago y Colegio Científico de Alajuela. 

En enero se llevará a cabo una edición en la provincia de Guanacaste en alianza con Creciendo juntos y en febrero una en Heredia con el apoyo del Centro Cívico por la paz de la provincia, ambas ediciones cuentan con el apoyo de Wings, de The Phoenix Tower International.

Mente en Acción

In 2023, two editions of Mind in Action (20th and 21st) have been completed in a hybrid format, all focused on women between the ages of 15 and 19. Additionally, the 22nd edition is currently being developed.

The 20th edition took place from February 11th to April 15th, graduating 50 women who developed 8 mobile application prototypes with the support and guidance of 16 Technical Mentors (volunteers). Accenture, P&G, Emerson, and IBM sponsored this edition. A total of 700 volunteer hours were contributed in this edition.

The 21st edition ran from May 13th to July 15th, with 52 women graduating and developing 8 mobile application prototypes, supported by 18 Technical Mentors. IBM, Accenture, P&G, and Emerson sponsored this edition, contributing a total of 774 volunteer hours.

The 22nd edition took place from August 19th to October 21st, and 52 women graduated. It was made possible through the sponsorship of BM, Accenture, P&G, and Emerson, concluding on October 21st.

All program participants receive scholarships and are provided with food and transportation for in-person sessions.

Efecto Boomerang supports all editions of the program.

Women in Action: Employable Training Program

Thanks to the United States Embassy, in 2022, we launched this new program with a duration of 6 months, during which 37 women between the ages of 18 and 30 were awarded scholarships to train for a junior profile in one of two areas: Cybersecurity or Data Science, according to their choice. Training in these profiles is conducted through the Coursera platform, allowing participants to complete the curriculum.

In addition, participants received comprehensive employability preparation, including English classes every Tuesday, Checkpoint sessions to monitor their progress, and in-person employability skills sessions such as Gender Leadership, LinkedIn Workshop, Continuous Learning, Gender Empowerment, Self-sabotage and Self-promotion, and Resume Writing Workshop.

Accenture and IBM provide additional support for this program.

All participants receive meals for in-person sessions, and transportation is provided depending on the session's location.

Last August, we began the 2nd edition where 40 women from different parts of the country will be able to get certified in AWS and Cloud or Data Science. This second edition is sponsored by Accenture, Emerson, and IBM, and it will conclude on January 31st.

Red Mente

Most of Mente Network's activities remain virtual, including workshops and talks on topics related to Technology, Excel, Statistics, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, personal finance, CV recommendations, among others. Additionally, some activities have been held in person, such as visits to companies like Edwards and IBM, as well as talks with Dr. Sandra Cauffman.

Niñas hacia el espacio

Is a new free program by Ideas en Acción, aimed at girls aged 7 to 9 who want to explore STEAM areas through play and experiential activities. In 2023, 90 girls from the provinces of San José, Cartago, and Alajuela participated in the program.

This program was made possible through sponsorship from Emerson and Yo me Uno - Bac Credomatic, with the support of the Children's Museum in San José, the Civic Center for Peace in Cartago, and the Scientific High School in Alajuela.

In January, an edition will take place in the province of Guanacaste in collaboration with Creciendo Juntos, and in February, one will be held in Heredia with the support of the Civic Center for Peace in the province. Both editions have the backing of Wings, from The Phoenix Tower International.
