Imagine living with ZERO or limited access to computers!
This is what life is like for Marion (pictured) and hundreds of other disadvantaged youths in the Wellington community in Freetown.
Marion just completed her West African Senior Secondary School Examination and is awaiting her results to hopefully start university. She would like to become a lawyer. She wants to become computer proficient as this will help her both when in college and also when practicing law.
This Wednesday June 25th is Bonus Day, YOU can help Marion become computer proficient. YOU can help make her dreams and those of hundreds of other youths come true. Access to this computer lab and the Internet will open up a world of learning, growth and self-advancement opportunities for the beneficiaries.
Beginning Wednesday at NOON (EDT) until funds run out or June 26th at 11:59 AM, YOUR donation of any amount up to $1000 will be matched dollar for dollar by Microsoft YouthSpark, allowing for an even bigger impact on the youth we serve together! Together we will create a new future for Marion and the other youths.
Please save the date / time and join us in helping to open a new portal of learning.
Also included in this report are photos of the network cabinet and complete wiring in the computer lab. Over the past 2 weeks we completed wiring of the computer lab for a local area network. It's wonderful to see the room falling into place - almost ready for the computers that YOU will hopefully help provide. Thanks so much for your help!
With much excitement and gratitude...
