We are Fundación Juan Pablo Gutiérrez Cáceres, we are education!

We have been working since 2007 as an entity that supports colombian students with limited resources, granting scholarships to pursue masters and doctoral.

In the first semester of 2019 we will give 61 scholarships, of which 4 will be thanks to all our GlobalGiving donors. Thanks to you, we will donate a semester of study in 3 master's programs.

The total to pay for these first 4 semesters is: $15,168.500 (pesos), which will be paid with the resources contributed in GlobalGiving, leaving us only with a surplus on the part of the Foundation of $ 51.387 (pesos).

The Foundation has been increasing its contribution in the training of postgraduate students in the country (0.06% in 2009 to 0.15% in 2017), and in 2017 it contributed with education at the master level of 0.15% of graduate students in this type of postgraduate course in the country (23,756).

We are in GlobalGiving because we want to help our social leaders improve their skills to help their communities. In our experience in the platform we carry out all the activities to continue growing with our project.

With the help of our good-hearted donors, our great allies and all the friendly universities that help us put a bit in Colombia and their social leaders who only seek to help their communities.

We hope to continue to count on the support of all of us at GlobalGiving and to continue demonstrating that together we can build a better future.

For the academic calendar of Colombia, where the semesters start in February and July, what we do is a fundraising process to have more resources and award the scholarships next year (2019) and impact more social leaders in Colombia.

During 2018, the Foundation awarded 35 new scholarships to young Colombians who are pursuing postgraduate studies at the Javeriana University, the MAD Program at the Universidad de Los Andes and the Catholic University of Oriente in Rionegro, Antioquia.

120 scholarships were also renewed for students who continued their curriculum during the current year.

From the beginning of the Foundation to date, 384 scholarships have been awarded to young Colombians, with the desire to continue their academic training and contribute to the country from different areas of knowledge.

With the support of the Faculty of Economics of Public Policies of the Universidad Del Rosario, the Evaluation of results and Impact of the foundation was delivered.

The study confirms that the population that has completed postgraduate studies has minors unemployment rates, higher salaries and lower split unemployment gap by gender.

It also shows that 95% of the recipients have the perception of positive changes in their quality of life (progress in personal well-being) and 87% also consider that it impacts the quality of life of their family. 94% consider that thanks to the opportunity of the scholarship they feel with more tools to generate benefits to the community.

In terms of income generation, there is evidence that the Foundation's scholarship is a factor that influences a positive change on the stratum of the beneficiaries and their income.

These results motivate the Foundation to continue in 2019 to manage resources and allies to positively change the lives of many young Colombians from the opportunity of studying for a postgraduate degree in the country.
