CREATION OF THE SCHOOL SAFEGUARDING POLICY
The initiative of the group of adolescent leaders from the Cangrejal River basin "Empowered Girls Raising the Voice of the Invisible" is promoting a "Municipal School Safeguard Policy" which will be approved this year and will begin its implementation in 2024, benefiting almost 35,000 boys and girls from schools throughout the Municipality of La Ceiba.
To ensure compliance with the policy, the Un Mundo organization signed an agreement with the Municipal Directorate of Education of La Ceiba, to guarantee that the rights of children, and mainly girls, are respected in each school.
The adolescent leaders are happy to achieve this initiative to create this policy, and they assure that they will fight for all those rights of girls and women that are violated.
To continue reaching the goals of our leaders, we need more people to join our cause, and those who are already there, thank you for your enormous support.
