In vulnerable communities across North Central region of Nigeria, women struggle daily to provide food, education, and healthcare for their families due to limited income opportunities. This project will equip 100 women with practical income-generating skills, financial literacy, and starter kits to launch small businesses. When women earn sustainable income, families thrive, children stay in school, and entire communities grow stronger.
Across Nigeria, poverty, unemployment, and gender inequality restrict women's access to decent income. Many depend on unstable daily labor or low-paying informal jobs. Without access to training, capital, or mentorship, women remain trapped in poverty, leaving families vulnerable to hunger, school dropout, and poor health. Financial exclusion continues to widen inequality for women who are ready to work but lack opportunity.
We will train 100 women in high-demand income skills including tailoring, soap and detergent production, food processing, small-scale trading, and financial literacy. The program includes hands-on practical training, business mentoring, and starter kits to help each participant launch or expand a micro-enterprise immediately after training. By combining skills with tools and guidance, we ensure women move from learning to earning.
This initiative will create financially independent women who can sustain their households long-term. Increased income allows families to afford food, healthcare, and education. Graduates will mentor other women, strengthening local economies and reducing poverty over time. By empowering women economically, we advance gender equality and build resilient communities across Nigeria.
