Dear Friends (Mulibwanji)
During the last quarter Go for Girls focused on sewing reusable sanitary pads and Girl Talk sessions in Mseche and Chiwamba Community Day Secondary Schools. The girls became actively engaged in the discussions and they were able to identify certain necessities that they require from time to time. These were, washing soap, reusable sanitary pads, and underwear for them to stay healthy and clean.
Our desire is to meet the needs of these schoolgirls who are based in rural areas where most of their guardians depend on farming which is seasonal. Most of all, the girls admitted they do not receive visitors who interact with them providing motivational messages, menstrual hygiene, career guidance or raise concerns that affect girls.
In the next quarter, the project will focus on fundraising for 2022 activities. Our 2022 budget is 8,500 Pounds and we hope that you will be able to contribute directly to the project through online campaigns or our website. Your donation will make a difference to the schoolgirls in Malawi.
