Project Report For May - June 2024

By Osisiogu Francis Ifeanyi | Director

The Elite Star Foundation aims to provide 30,000 underprivileged children in Niger State, Nigeria with access to quality education through scholarships. This initiative seeks to break down financial barriers, empower vulnerable children, decrease dropout rates, and promote social mobility.

Project Goals:

  1. Provide scholarships to 30,000 children in Niger State
  2. Cover tuition, expenses, and other education-related costs
  3. Decrease dropout rates among underprivileged students
  4. Promote social mobility through education

Progress Report (May-June):

  • Successfully covered all costs for 2 students at Government Secondary School, Diko, Niger State for 1 year
  • This represents 0.0067% of the total project goal (2 out of 30,000 students)

Challenges:

  • Significant gap between current progress and overall project goal
  • Need for increased funding and resources to scale up the initiative

Next Steps:

  1. Develop a strategy to accelerate scholarship distribution
  2. Seek additional funding sources and partnerships
  3. Implement a system to track student progress and outcomes
  4. Expand outreach to identify more eligible students in Niger State

Conclusion:

While the project has successfully supported two students from May to June, there is a substantial need for scaling up efforts to reach the goal of 30,000 scholarships. The Elite Star Foundation will focus on increasing resources, partnerships, and operational capacity to achieve its ambitious target and create a meaningful impact on education in Niger State.
