Efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 are essential, but should not be used as an excuse to demean vulnerable groups. Respect for human rights is crucial as measures to contain COVID-19 continue.
Human Rights First Rwanda Association launched a humanitarian campaign during this COVID-19 pandemic to support the most vulnerable women living with HIV/Aids in Kamonyi District to access food aid distribution from well-wishers and to be advanced 3 months essential medical supplies of antiretroviral medicines for HIV/AIDS management.
Volunteers of Human rights first Rwanda association provided home delivery of food and antiretroviral therapy and other medicines for people who were unable to access their treatment owing to COVID-19 restrictions.
HRFRA team is also providing counselling and psychosocial support to the women because of the stigma, discrimination, isolation and lack of support networks that could assist them in coping up with the pandemic effects.
Together in this we shall overcome with your support.
