For the past three months’ project has successfully distributed over 50 goats to women living with HIV/AIDS. Each recipient received comprehensive training on goat-rearing practices and milk production, ensuring they are well-equipped to care for their livestock. Properly managed goats can produce 2-3 liters of milk daily, providing a reliable source of nutrition and income.
For women living with HIV/AIDS, the goat-rearing initiative not only meets their immediate needs but also aims to foster long-term economic independence. By providing both the livestock and the necessary knowledge to manage them, we empower these women to sustain their livelihoods. The income generated from their goats remains in their hands, giving them greater control over their finances. This financial autonomy enhances their status within their households, increases their decision-making power, and strengthens their overall independence.
With your continued support, we can expand this initiative to reach more women in Rwanda. Additional funding will enable us to distribute more goats, provide further training, and ensure these vulnerable women have the means to buy nutritious food, secure education for their children, and access necessary medical care. Together, we can create lasting positive change in the lives of women living with HIV/AIDS.
