In line with the Project Empowering 500 Women Living wth HIV& AIDS Human Rights First Rwanda Association conducted a 2 day Capacity training on Rights awareness as well as Financial Management Skills.
The main intent of this venture was to build onto the capacities of the women on their roles in as advocates of equality more so from the exemplary roles they play in the community as exemplary entrepreneurs who defy many odds in economically pacifying themselves.
It also had the objective of ensuring that the revenues accrued from the respective ventures they partake in are properly and effectively managed in the various cooperatives set up from the commencement of the initiative.
Amongst the lessons imparted from the module were means of combating direct and indirect forms of discrimination and victimization due to medical condition as well as the proper and effective advocacy methods to be employed in their quest for equality.
Financial reporting and accountability organizational and developmental skills were also imparted under the financial Management module which came in handy for economic development of the women.
Response to the training was nothing short of astounding as the women were appreciative of the life building skills through the training facilitated by Human Rights First Rwanda Association. Gratitude was also conveyed to Global Giving for the platform established that publicizes the women’s works.
