During this quarter Human Rights First Rwanda Association undertook sensitization drives to the Southern Province where we had the privilage of meeting a cross section of Local Leaders and Citizens alike .Sensitization drives gave them a platform to learn more about prevention and control mechanisms against HIV/AIDS and the reduction of transferring the virus onto the children during delivery.
One Key element that was highlighted during the drives was the need to have local government participation in raising awareness and providing life prolonging medication to the afflicted women in the southern province.
The Local Leaders promised support to the citizens present and enabled them to have an interactive session with them formally even beyond the sensitization drives.
