Empowerment Through Protector Training

By Lucky Chhetri | Director

The Protector Training organized by EWN successfully provided trekking guides, assistant guides and staff members with valuable techniques on how to De Escalate Aggressive and Difficult people by utilizing protective physical postures in different situations, both in the field work and in their personal life to convey a message of calm, confident and comfort. That while they ensure that their action is not to hurt but to harm the attacker.

This training was provided to strengthen their capacity to protect themselves against potential attacks. The training covered the practical aspect of using everyday objects like tactical pen and hair rubber band  as equalizer to protect in situations where necessary. It’s all about protecting oneself within the boundaries of the laws and ethics.

Important aspect covered in the training was learning to confidently say “No” to assert boundaries effectively. Practicing this skill empowers individual participants to establish personal boundaries and assert themselves effectively in various scenarios. The trainer captivated the participants by demonstrating several physical posture and techniques.

Participants gained insights into using proportional and reasonable force when necessary, ensuring their actions are justifiable and appropriate. The goal is to empower individuals to protect themselves responsibly and effectively
