The CAMELEON Team
January
The CAMELEON Family Development Center conducted a local conference focused on involving families, providing a platform for the primary stakeholders of the project to actively engage and share their perspectives.
An Internal Auditor of Apprentis d’Auteuil was in attendance during this event. Families took the stage, sharing their life experiences and discussing how they navigated the challenges they encountered. Emphasis was placed on the positive impact of the CAMELEON’s FDC on their development, and they shared memorable moments associated with the project.
The event also featured a photovoice and storytelling workshop, where families further conveyed their meaningful experiences.
February
28 beneficiaries from the CAMELEON Community Development program participated in the Employability Skills Workshop at the Passi Center. They acquired valuable skills essential for effective communication and job preparation.
CAMELEON organizes such activities with the aim of developing the beneficiaries' oral communication and self-confidence, which will help them in their future socio-professional endeavors.
March
During the celebration of Women’s Month, Rhea M., a CAMELEON Community Development beneficiary and the President of Voice of CAMELEON’s Children (Cameleon Youth Advocates) , became Bb. Pintados de Pasí 2024.
Her passion, resilience, hard work, and commitment to excellence and the promotion of empowerment have shown during her journey and experiences. CAMELEON is proud of her and is rooting for her continued success.
April
165 beneficiaries participated in the Quarterly Meeting and life skills sessions organized by CAMELEON. This activity also served as an avenue to discuss concerns among the beneficiaries. Learning sessions about Netiquette and Psychological First Aid were facilitated by two ComDev Alumni and an In-House Counselor.
CAMELEON organizes activities that help develop the beneficiaries’ capacities to think more rationally and critically in various circumstances they encounter on their journey as youths and future professionals.
Another event was held with 55 beneficiaries of CAMELEON’s Community Development program. It was a training session on protective behaviors for adolescents. This activity was specifically designed go combat a child sexual abuse in both online and offline environments among the beneficiaries.
CAMELEON emphasizes the importance of continuous efforts in raising awareness, educating, and empowering individuals on child protection and children’s rights.
