Project Report | Mar 4, 2023
December-February news

By Laurence LIGIER | Project Leader

Dear Donor,

We're glad to send you some recent news of our program. 45 beneficiaries are still waiting for sponsors to support them. If you wish to sponsor a student, feel free to contact us.

Best regards,

The CAMELEON Team

Parenting sessions in the villages

CAMELEON’s Community Development Program held a series of council meetings and parenting sessions at our Family Development Center in Barangays of Gines Nuevo, San Enrique, Iloilo.

The parents took part in a focus group discussion on the topic “handum,” which translates to English as a cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal. The sessions ended with a consultation of the parents on the activities that they would like for future sessions.

Congratulations to our graduates

The eldest of three children, Melody was a beneficiary of CAMELEON’s Community Development Program from 2017 until June 2022. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from Central Philippine University. Melody went on to place 6th in the list of topnotchers of the November 2022 Agriculturist Licensure Exam.

Via, Jockey Peph, Mary Grace, Wilfredo, Imy Rose and Jun Lester are 6 Criminology graduates who successfully passed their licensure exam last December.

We congratulate them for their efforts.

Our job-placement program

Our Job-placement program aims to support our beneficiaries' empowerment and financial sufficiency. They participate to training workshops on Resume Making and Personality Development. We also developped a network of partners who can welcome them during their OJT, and beyond for their first employmentThe Job Placement Office gathers the job opportunities from the partners and facilitates the relationship with the Alumni Beneficiaries who are interested to apply.

Cameleon’s advocacy were dynamic and as graduate, we can be guided on the essential things to consider in seeking a job and can be productive sooner by Job Placement Office ways thru the initiative our beloved CAMELEON.” - Wilfredo
