Dear Donors,

Through its Empowering disadvantaged youth through education program, CAMELEON promotes positive, self-protecting behaviors and works to prevent sexual violence against children, by supporting the education of young Filipinos from disadvantaged backgrounds. The program helps break the cycle of poverty by involving the entire ecosystem surrounding each child –including family and community. It is implemented year-round through a series of targeted workshops.

We are pleased to report meaningful progress toward the project’s objectives.

  1. Among the 56 students who graduated, 32 have started on-the-job training in companies, while 24 are participating in field studies and immersion internships.
  2. 46 students have received academic awards or graduated with honors.
  3. 45 young people have committed to becoming Youth Advocates for CAMELEON International, focusing on Children’s Rights and Children Abuse Prevention.
  4. 18 youth from Bingawan partnered with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and Barangay Council to conduct a tree-planting activity in Barangay Quinar.
  5. Youth from Gemumua-Agahon conducted a discovery lecture on the Four Pillars of Children's Rights and Literacy for Grade 3 pupils at Sitio Batuyanan Elementary School:
    1. Non-discrimination
    2. Best interests of children
    3. Right to survival and development
    4. Views of the child
  6. A total of 116 parents took part in a parenting session on the 5 love languages. The session helped parents understand different love languages, identify their own, and apply them to strengthen family relationships.
  7. 40 children (16 boys and 24 girls) took part in a learning activity, watching the short film The Bird to promote resilience and overcoming fear. They also engaged in arts and crafts, creating Valentine's cards for their loved ones.
  8. 76 alumni have been involved in several major events and have facilitated life skills training sessions.

Your generosity has helped drive the development of this community, creating meaningful impact for its children and their families, despite a challenging environment. The young people supported through this program are actively building their futures, drawing strength from your commitment and solidarity. Your support fuels their determination, reinforces their sense of purpose, and contributes to a dynamic of hope and progress shared across the entire community.

Thank you for being a part of this journey. Let us continue to make a difference, one milestone at a time.

With gratitude,

CAMELEON
