For those who are new, I just want to share that I am on sick leave so if you have not received a thank you for your donation yet, it is coming I am just unable to send it as yet and I apologize and will do as soon as I am able. I send out personal notes to those who are repeat donors and I send our introduction information to those who are totally new. This is important to me, you are important to me so these letters are coming asap.

In the meantime, I have created and scheduled a few different reports to be released over the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy

Take care

Blessings

My Name is Mavis I am from Myakayaka Village, I have seven children I started staying at Myakayaka village from 2005. I was from Khujwana village I was unemployed earning money by working piece jobs in the community in order to support my family.

I used to receive help from anyone who saw my poor situation and helped me by giving me anything from food to clothing items and we were able to survive every day, day by day, with our daily struggles. I started working seasonal jobs in farms to help with the needs and education for my children.

While striving every day to make ends meet, a group of women invited me to their meetings on how to save money with just under R10, 00 a week and we all knew that no matter how things are staff in our lives we are able to save rand every day.

We felt motivated and moved to learn how to save money and help one other in our community, as we are all unemployed. The SHG GROUPS from KTD196.

This program help us to grow with what we have and make appositive change in our lives, through the trainings we received, we are able to learn how to work with what we have and educate each other. With different kinds of discussions to strengthen our views and maintaining peace and unity among ourselves as we take our journey to the next step.

Our money is taking care of us, we are supporting our work forward, and we are very thankful for all you have done for us, we are able to provide for our children’s school fees, started building houses. Soon we are going to buy stock to sell around our areas for building strength and motivation among each other for a better future for our children.

Thank you very much, continue to bring change for women because they are the foundation of the future generations to come, God bless you.
