Khanyisa's story of YOUR Support!

Avuxeni, minjane? Umfekile minjane! (Hello, how are you? I am well!)

It is so exciting to see the children grow and develop, I have an amazing job!

It is really the most wonderful thing to see the light globe go on and the realisation spread across a child’s face. They become the biggest proponents of the project. They want to see others share in the joy and they gather their friends to be a part of the project.

Its is the same thing we are seeing with Self Help Groups! As we move around the communities we are having adults stop us and begging us to start SHG in their villages, or if we are already in the village, when can they join. In the beginning it was tough going trying to get women to participate. Anything to do with money creates instant anxiety, apprehension and fear, so in the beginning people didn’t believe what we were saying and what was possible, they somehow thought we would steal their money because that is what they are used to.

Now 2yrs later, we can no longer freely walk around or drive around the villages for that matter because people are desperate for the work we do. Next year, next year is going to be amazing as we support the SHG groups to embrace the children’s project and move forward being their own answers to their own problems regarding raising children and enabling them to be all they can be.

All of this is because of you! Because of your vision, your passion for the work we do, your ability to see the future we talk about for these children, families and communities. I say this often; YOU are the reason KTD196 can achieve what we are achieving. You make all this possible and it is only going to get better because of you!

Thank you for being such a BLESSING to us!

I am very Grateful

Louise

Scouting has been a transformative journey for me, shaping my character and providing me with invaluable life skills. Before joining Scouts and KTD196, I was a child plagued by poor behaviour and a lack of direction. However, through the guidance and support of the Scouts program, I have emerged as a young influencer, driven to make a positive impact on the world.

My name is Khanyisa. I was raised in asmall village named Sasekani, I was known for my impulsive nature and disregard for rules. However, my life took a significantturn when I joined the KTD196. I joined their program Scouts at the age of 11, seeking to channel my energy and find a sense of purpose. The Scouts offered astructured environment that encouraged personal growth, leadership development, and community service. Intrigued by the prospect of self-improvement, I eagerly embraced this opportunity.

What kind of child was I before Scouts? Before joining Scouts, I was a rebellious and carefree child. I often engaged in risky behaviour, disregarding the potential consequences. My actions were driven by adesire for instant gratification, without considering the impact on myself or others. I lacked discipline, empathy, and a sense of responsibility.

Scouts has been instrumental in transforming me from a reckless individual to a responsible and compassionate young woman. Through various activities, such as camping, hiking, and community service projects, I learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and respect for others. Scouts instilled in me a strong moral compass, teaching me to make ethical decisions and consider the wellbeing of those around me.

Moreover, the KTD196 program played a crucial role in my personal growth. This program provided mentorship, guidance, and support, allowing me to develop leadership skills and become a positive influence within my community.   By engaging in activities that promote environmental sustainability, social justice, and community development, I learned the value of giving back and making adifference.

From once being a reckless individual, my journey through Scouts and KTD196 has transformed me into a responsible and compassionate person. Inspired by the values instilled in me, I decided to pursue a career in nursing. As a nurse, I will have the opportunity to give back to the community and make a difference in the lives of others.

On behalf of the countless scouts who have benefited from your efforts, I extend my deepest gratitude to the incredible team behind KTD196 scouts Program. Your dedication, passion, and unwavering support have made a profound difference in the lives of young individuals, shaping them into confident leaders who are ready to make a positive impact on the world. Thank you for embodying the true spirit of caring and for being an inspiration to us all.

Moreover, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and profound gratitude to the exceptional sponsors who work hand in hand with the KTD196 Program. Your invaluable support and partnership have played a pivotal role in empowering us and enabling the organization to make a lasting impact in the community. Your commitment to investing in the development and growth of young individuals is truly commendable, and it is through your generosity that the scouts KTD196 Program is able to provide resources, opportunities, and mentorship to scouts.

Your belief in the potential of young leaders and your willingness to contribute to their success is truly inspiring. By joining forces with KTD196 scouts Program, you have demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of fostering personal growth, leadership skills, and community engagement among scouts. Your unwavering support   has not only enriched the lives of countless young individuals but has also contributed to building a brighter future for our society as a whole.

Thank you for making a difference in my life
