Kayla facilitated the presentation to the students at Adenkrebi school regarding menstruation and best practices for handling your period. The session went very well. The students were eager to learn and participate. The presentation began by explaining what menstruation is and why it occurs. Symptoms of periods were then discussed. Students were happy to share the various symptoms that can be experienced. Materials used during your period were discussed afterwards. Tampons and period cups were brought in to show the students, and they had a lot of questions and curiosities regarding these products. It was then discussed how to properly dispose of period materials, and students gave examples of how they dispose of their pads. Ways to make yourself feel better while on your period were discussed and students gave plenty of good examples. The session ended with any final questions from the students.
