The Empowering Girls project remains a crucial initiative in providing sexual health education and menstrual hygiene support to adolescent youth, particularly girls. While on-the-ground activities are currently on hold until April 2025, we are actively working to secure funding for the next phase of the project. Additionally, we are engaging with potential partners to establish new collaborations that will enhance the sustainability and reach of our program. Project activities are going to be resumed in April 2025.
Current Focus and Efforts
At present, our team is dedicated to securing financial resources that will ensure the continuation and expansion of the initiative. We are actively seeking support from donors, grant organizations, and corporate sponsors to meet our funding needs. Furthermore, we are strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders, including local schools, health organizations, and community leaders, to amplify the impact of our program.
Resumption of Activities
We are pleased to announce that project activities on the ground are set to resume in April. With renewed funding and strategic partnerships in place, we will continue delivering vital sexual and reproductive health education workshops, distributing sanitary products, and addressing period poverty among young girls. These efforts will empower adolescents with knowledge and resources to make informed health decisions, fostering improved well-being and gender equality in Ghanaian communities.
Long-Term Vision
The Empowering Girls project aims to create lasting change by improving menstrual hygiene practices, reducing stigma around menstruation, and promoting safe sexual health behaviors. By ensuring continuous education and access to necessary resources, we strive to lower rates of teenage pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections while fostering a culture of empowerment and informed decision-making.
We appreciate the unwavering support from our donors and partners, and we look forward to resuming activities in April to continue making a positive impact in the lives of young girls in Ghana.
