In this developing era, there are many women who want to do something for their family but are unable to because of lack of funds and this is because of poor financial condition of the family. These women are the ones living in rural villages who really want to help the family financially but are unable to do so. These women try to run the home in very less money. The socio-economic development of these women is the need of the hour as in the covid-19 these women and their families faced many more problems as the only one member working also lost their employment due to the lockdown. These women must get a chance to prove themselves and become self-reliant and then help the family financially.
While watching all these issues, RSKS India did survey of these women and made their groups. The groups were known as self help groups SHG’s. The RSKS India is forming these groups from a long time for the socio-economic growth of the women living in rural areas. Approx 12 SHG’s were formed and total of 150 women were selected by RSKS India and they were given 1 crore micro finance by the organization for their self-employment like shop, dairy, and for other needs. These women were given this money on a very low interest rate and also these women were then linked to the bank and were also told about the banking activities. The RSKS Team members also took monthly meetings of these groups in which all the problems of the groups were heard and solutions were made to the problems.
This program is working successfully towards women empowerment as through this program many rural women are getting uplifted and they are becoming self-reliant. The program is very helpful for the women to earn for their livelihood and also support their family financially. These rural women were able to get linked to the bank and also they were able to understand the banking activities. Now these women also started saving little bit every month for the better future of themselves and their family. The women are very happy as RSKS Team members take monthly meetings in which all the problems of these women are discussed and solved. All these 150 women and their family members thanked the whole RSKS Team and the donors through which this program towards women empowerment was implemented.
