It is often seen that rural women become victim of frauds very easily. They have to bear such losses in the lack of awareness and financial literacy. In the digital world, cheat make fake calls to get sensitive information of account holders and withdraw cash from the accounts of such women through ATM fraud and these innocent women don't know anything about it. As living far from cities, they don't have financial knowledge of government and banking due to which they are not able to get benefitted from the schemes.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan took an incredible initiative and organized Financial Literacy Program in distinct remote rural areas. The women members of self-help groups established and managed by RSKS participated in the program with excitement. The skilled master trainers informed the participants about banking in the financial literacy program and make them understand the ways to keep their hard earned money safe from such digital frauds. The women participants asked several questions in the program that were answered by the trainers.
In "Financial Literacy Program", the participants also got informed about financial schemes of government and banking, banking process and transaction so that such women may not depend on other other for banking, moreover, being aware of financial issues will help them to be a victim of digital frauds. All the women appreciated the efforts made by RSKS and thanked GlobalGiving Foundation.
In "Financial Literacy Program", held by RSKS, a 52 years old woman participated and listened to the trainers carefully. She had to depend on her family members for banking, she ususally requested several times to get her work done but she didn't get it done in time. Being unaware of banking process, she had to face several difficulties. But, after attending "Financial Literacy Program" of RSKS, she came to know about banking process, account related information and learned to make transactions. Now, she no longer depeds on others to get her work related to bank done for which she gives credit to RSKS and GlobalGiving Foundation.
