Rajasthan Samagrah Kalyan Sansthan is working successfully towards women empowerment & is determined for its successful functioning. Self Help Groups are being formed by the RSKS institute in collaboration with GG to empower women from poor & deprived communities in rural areas. Women are united through a group & they are given micro loans at low interest rates for their economic activity.
In this program, 18 Women Self Help Groups which were remote regional villages were formed by the Institute of R.S.K.S with the help of GG in this month. A total number of 196 women of 18 Self Help Groups were linked to the bank & a loan of 55 lakh was provided by the bank for the economic activity of the women.
All the women were very happy by getting loans at low interest rate because now these women will be able to open their own business /employment. Women established bangle shop, fruit &vegetables shop, fancy store, sandal shop etc. as a domestic business. Today these women are very happy because they are earning a good income by doing their business. We are going to explain the aspect of hard work & success of these women in the form of a story which is in their own words.
An Impact Story....
My name is Ratan (Name Changed) I am 38 years old. I live in Nooriyawas village & I belong to Typical traditional family. There is no emphasis on girls Education in my own community, due to which I studied till the 5th class, after which the family members denied me for the education. After marriage I am busy with my household work. I wanted to do some work but there was a ban on work outside the house which held me & at the same time, I was not so strong financially just because I can't do my own business.
Then one day I was informed by my neighbor about this project of the most institute of R.S.K.S in which loans are given for the economic activity of women through self help groups. Then I also joined this project & after some time I got a loan at a low interest rate, so that I started the work of making carpets at my home. After that I started getting orders. Then I completed them sitting at home & after that I used to save some money to repay my loan.
Today I am very happy because I am standing on my feet & earning good income by sitting at home. Hence I cooperate financially at home & also go out of my house for employment in which my family members support me fully. I want to say thanks to the GG, Donor & R.S.K.S, whose selfless efforts have made me stand on my feet.
The Razia's Success Story....
My name is Razia (Name Changed) and I am 37 years old. I live in Karnos village which is situated very far from the city area. I am from Islamic community in which females are restricted to move out from their houses. My husband work in farming and earn some money but his salary was not enough to fulfill house needs or expenditure. I wished that I will also do some work and earn money .But I am Illiterate due to it, I was not able to do anything.
After some time, I joined the plans of RSKS Self Help Group. From there I got loan at low interest rate and after that I have started my boutique and fancy store shop. After joining with this plan, I got the knowledge of banking area. Now, I am working from my home only and working with shoulder to shoulder with my husband and helping in my home expenditures.
After joining with this plan, I have become strong by economic point of view and being Illiterate, today I got all the knowledge of banking. So, for this I am very thankful to RSKS organization and GG and all the donors.
