RUKMA, a 26 years old young woman living in the Nadi village is an illiterate woman. In the rural environment the family members didn't pay attention to Rukma's education & used it for household chores like grazing of farm & goat. Rukma had to face another rural problem. Rukma was married at the age of 16, after which all the dreams of Rukma remains incomplete. Even after marriage, Rukma faced many kinds of problems. Her husband works in the factory & for Rukma it was not possible to run home with that income. When her husband went to work, Rukma had to be imprisoned at home. Rukma also wanted to stand on her feet but didn't get any opportunity.
The RSKS Institute brought a golden opportunity for Rukma. Rukma was there with her family when RSKS team members were building a self help group under the project, run by RSKS with the help of GG, after the group formation Rukma started coming to the meeting every month & used to get many types of information through the meeting. Within a short time Rukma got a loan from the bank, using which Rukma hired a vegetable shop for the first time Rukma had a slight hesitation in the middle of the village by stepping into the market for employment but with unwavering resolve Rukma did employment which also benefited Rukma, after which she also hired a fruits with vegetables. Today Rukma is selling both fruits &vegetables in the village Market & she is also earning good money. After joining this project Rukma got a second loan, with the help of which rukma helped her husband to open another shop of snacks.
Today Rukma has become self reliant & stand on her own feet. Rukma says that she feels that all her unfulfilled dreams are fulfilled now and the entire credit goes to RSKS and the support of GG & beloved donors.
