Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized the "Sewing Machine Support for Self-Employment" program to empower economically disadvantaged women and girls by providing them with the tools needed to start their own businesses. The program specifically targeted two underprivileged women from marginalized communities who were facing financial challenges and lacked access to sustainable income opportunities. By providing each of them with a high-quality sewing machine, RSKS India aimed to enable them to create self-employment opportunities and improve their livelihoods.

Before distributing the sewing machines, the RSKS India team conducted a thorough baseline survey to assess the women's financial status, skills, and aspirations. Both women had basic tailoring knowledge but lacked the resources to start their own business. Recognizing this potential, the organization selected them for the program, ensuring that the support provided would lead to tangible results. The sewing machines were handed over in a small ceremony attended by village officials and neighbors, which added a sense of community and transparency to the process. The RSKS India team also provided guidance on how the women could utilize the sewing machines to start tailoring businesses, including making clothes for local customers and taking on repair work. Practical advice on managing their business, customer interaction, and setting fair prices was shared, ensuring that the women had a holistic understanding of how to grow their new ventures.
