Empowering Women's with Sustainable Livelihood

Warm Greetings from RSKS India.....

I, Dr. Arushi Lal Santania , am a proud volunteer at Rajasthan Samagrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS). Completing 200+ hours, I've gained invaluable experience under the supervision of RSKS CEO Dr. S.N. Sharma.

During my time at RSKS, I actively participated in various programs and initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities and fostering sustainable development. Some of the key activities I was involved in include:

• Data analysis, feedback assessment, report making, and digitization of data which enhanced organizational efficiency.
• Contributed in a value-based educational school called Pathshala. Served young girls from marginalized communities to create a better future for them.
• Educated slum street children about cleanliness, moral values and provided primary education through a six day camp.
• Celebrated major festivals and social days with slum street people to create inclusivity and distributed sweets and clothes.
• Spread awareness about healthy and safe menstruation among rural women and girls.
• Assisted in making flip charts, posters and banners to present our cause effectively in remote areas where classrooms and electronic projectors are not available.
• Through these activities, I developed and enhanced the following skills:
• Communication: Improved my ability to convey ideas effectively and interact with diverse groups.
• Community Engagement: Gained practical experience in connecting with communities and understanding their needs.
• Empathy: Strengthened my capacity to approach social issues with sensitivity and understanding.
• Teamwork: Collaborated with team members to successfully implement various programs.
• Organizational Skills: Demonstrated efficiency in managing tasks and contributing to the digitization project.

This internship provided me with hands-on experience in community engagement, program implementation, and teamwork. Each activity allowed me to better understand the multifaceted challenges faced by different communities and the role of social work in addressing these issues. The guidance and support from my supervisor and the NGO team were instrumental in shaping my skills and broadening my perspective on social work practice.

Overall, my experience at RSKS helped me strengthen my commitment to make a meaningful difference in society and prepared me for future endeavors in the field of social work.
