The project "Ëmpowering Poor women with sustainable livelihood", in the rural area of Peesangan block, Ajmer, has been managed smoothly, with the help of GlobalGiving, by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan for the last one year.
The long term impacts are now coming of the significant efforts which have been made for the Women empowerment since last year. Such as Poor women, with the help of self-help group, have been managing goat rearing, stock raising, poultry, sewing, beauty parlour and shops on their own. These self-employment units are getting the women a better livelihood. The living standard of the women of self-help group has got improved as compared to earlier.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has formed 9 women self help groups under the project in this quarter. Loan of Rs. 109200 (Ten lakh nine thousand two hundred) for the establishment of self-employment, economic development and social development has been approved and distributed among 101 poor deprived women members of different castes and communities of 9 groups with the help of bank. By getting loan at a reasonable rate of interest, these women members of the group are now stepping forward to be succeed and progressed. Women are getting financial literacy by joining the group. Moreover, they are strengthening the group by saving Rs. 200 per month and they are progressive towards better livelihood.
