Today, Everyone has necessary irrelevant of the class or society she belongs or whether she is rural resident. Everyone needs money for everything. In urban areas, people make adjustments for money very easily due to the presence of various financial offices and Banks there, this doesn't happens in rural areas. There is only one source to take loan is "Moneylender". The moneylender provides money to rural people at high rates, moreover, he mortgages their houses and fields as the security against the loan. Due to high rates, a rural person only manages to pay the interest somehow and he remains succumbed to the burden of the loan and at last the moneylender takes over his house and field.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of Global Giving Foundation, for the empowerment of women and to make them free from the moneylenders, brought rural women together and formed "Self Help Group" and provided them Bank Loan. The organisation established 6 self help groups and provided bank loan to 72 deprived rural women for their economic development. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has been succeeded to support more than 1000 rural women and provide them bank loan amounting to more than 30 million,(3 cr) at low rates for animal husbandry, agriculture, stitching and other self employments. The organisation's activists organise a meeting of members of each self help group every month to collect the savings and redistribute among them to meet the requirements. The activists motivate rural women to oppose casteism and conservative evils. All women are happy to get bank loan at low rates which has boost their confidence, also their living standard is getting improved rapidly along their economic development.
During a meeting of those women, one of them recited her soreness to the activist of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan. She was 38 years old Maina, lost her husband 2 years ago. After the deat of her husband, she is left alone and suffering from economical crisis. She had to borrow a loan of Rs.50,000 @ 5% per month for the "Mrityubhoj" of her husband, but for last two years, she has been able to pay the interest only, the principal remained as such. Then, Maina joined to the program of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and Global Giving, got a bank loan of Rs. 50,000 through the self help group. Now, she is so happy and it seems that her dreams got wings. Now, she has got rid of the interest of moneylender. Maina heartly thanks Global Giving and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan for their noble work.
