We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.
Women, in rural areas, are bound to so many orthodox customs and they have to endure the limitations of such customs, which doesn't let them to go out anywhere from their house and they become a prisoner of their own house doind the chores for the entire life. Not being financially strengthen, they are not able to start any small scale business or self-employment. Even, they don't dare to take loan from moneylenders to start their business because the moneylenders lend money at a high rate of interest and they require some property or ornaments as mortgage.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sanstha, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, for women empowerment and improving their financial status, associated such women to bank through self help groups and support them to get loan at low rate of interest from the bank. The organisation established seven new self help groups. We take their meetings on monthly basis and the savings of the groups are depositted. In addition to this, loan amount to Rs. 24 lack INR in aggregate was given to 96 women members of 9 self help groups for establishing self-employment at their level. All women members are happy to join the self help groups and live happily.
In meeting, We had conversation with on of the women, named Ladi. She was in trouble before joining self help groups as she had nothing for livestock breeding. But now, she got loan through the self help group and she bought a goat from the amount. She earns by selling mikl and thus, she managed to repay the loan and even she had bought another goat from her savings. Now, she has 10 goats and her dairy is all set. Some positive changes are being noticed in her life as she has become more confident. She gets newer information from the self help groups. Ladi and other women of SHGs thanks GlobalGiving Foundation, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and the donors from the bottom of her heart.
