Empowering 200+ Entrepreneurs in Uganda

By Joseph Jawanghe | Project Leader

Thanks to your generous support, our project has successfully empowered over 200 entrepreneurs in Uganda since 2022, helping them grow sustainable businesses, improve livelihoods, and strengthen their communities. Through training, mentorship, and access to startup resources, participants have increased income, created jobs, and gained confidence to overcome economic challenges.

Why This Matters

In Uganda, many aspiring entrepreneurs struggle with limited business knowledge, access to capital, and mentorship. Without support, small businesses often fail within the first year, perpetuating poverty. Your contributions ensure that these entrepreneurs have the tools, skills, and guidance needed to succeed and create long-term impact in their communities.

Impact at a Glance

  • 200+ entrepreneurs trained in business management, financial literacy, and marketing

  • Mentorship provided through one-on-one coaching and peer networks

  • Access to startup resources including seed capital, equipment, and market linkages

  • Increased income reported by 85% of participants

  • Jobs created, benefiting families and communities

“Before the program, I struggled to make sales and support my family. Now, my business is growing, and I can employ two people from my village.” – Joseph, 28

Joseph’s story reflects the transformative power of the project: entrepreneurs gain confidence, practical skills, and sustainable income, improving not only their own lives but also the lives of those around them.

How Your Donations Were Used

Funds were carefully allocated to ensure maximum impact:

  • Entrepreneurship training and workshops – 45%

  • Mentorship and coaching – 25%

  • Startup resources and seed funding – 25%

  • Monitoring, evaluation, and program coordination – 5%

Every dollar invested has empowered an entrepreneur to grow their business and support their family.

Lessons Learned

  • Ongoing mentorship is critical for business sustainability

  • Peer-to-peer learning strengthens confidence and problem-solving skills

  • Access to startup capital is often the deciding factor between survival and growth

What’s Next

With continued support, we plan to:

  • Empower an additional 150–200 entrepreneurs

  • Introduce digital business skills training

  • Expand market linkages and networking opportunities

  • Strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems in local communities

Thank You

Because of your generosity, over 200 entrepreneurs are now thriving, supporting their families, and contributing to their communities. Your support is not just funding businesses—it is creating hope, opportunity, and long-term economic growth in Uganda.

Together, we are empowering entrepreneurs to transform their lives and communities.
