Many women and gender-diverse people facing intersectional injustices such as violence, poverty, and discrimination cannot access basic rights and support. GOOD TO BE GOOD's Empowering Care Program helps meet critical needs through essentials such as transportation, counselling, menstrual and personal care items, peer support, and trauma-informed resources. Contributions help remove unjust barriers, ensuring women and gender-diverse people can rightfully access the resources and support systems.
Women and gender-diverse people facing systemic barriers are disproportionately affected by violence, poverty, and isolation. Many cannot afford essentials like transportation, menstrual products, counselling, or emergency relief at the exact moment they need support. When these basic needs go unmet, safety, mental well-being, and long-term stability become harder to sustain. GOOD TO BE GOOD helps close this gap by providing direct care and resources rooted in dignity, choice, and inclusion.
Through our Empowering Care Program, GOOD TO BE GOOD provides low-barrier support to women and gender-diverse people facing unjust challenges and barriers. Donations help cover essential items and services such as transportation, menstrual and personal care products, peer counselling, referrals, and restorative community-based supports. By meeting women where they are and supporting their immediate basic needs, we co-create pathways toward greater safety, stability, and self-determination.
When women and gender-diverse people can rightfully access essential care for basic needs without unjust barriers, they are better positioned to regain stability, make informed choices, and move forward with greater safety and dignity. Over time, these investments strengthen individual well-being, reduce marginalization, and contribute to more equitable communities for all. This work helps advance a future where gender justice is not aspirational or a nice to have, but lived and realized.
