By Andrew Mullens | Kimbilio Support
Hi, thank you so much for your financial support for this Project which supports former street children by paying for their studies at University. This month, Raphael graduated at the conclusion of his course at the University of Lubumbashi and the team at Kimbilio are very proud of him. Raphael has come a long way since his days of living on the streets of Lubumbashi and his graduation shows how Kimbilio has enabled him to fulfill his potential.
The first former street child that your donations supported at University is Pascal. He graduated at university last year and he is now working at the Kimbilio School as a teacher in his post-graduate training year. Here is a photo of Pascal with headteacher Didier Ilunga on his first day of teaching. Pascal is a teacher of mechanics. Pascal first came to Kimbilio as an 11 year old. Both his parents had died and his aunts had thrown him out on the streets. It is lovely to see Pascal repaying the love shown to him by the Kimbilio team by teaching at the Kimbilio school.
