Enable an encounter with a rare Pterocarpus Forest

You can now visit the Pterocarpus Forest on your phone!

As reported in our report at the end of October 2020, the Forest Tour App has been completed and is now available. We are now able to offer a better, more complete encounter with a rare Pterocarpus Forest through this bilingual phone application.

Due to unabated concerns about Covid 19 a previously planned, celebration and fundraising activity and media event, postponed in 2020 and rescheduledfor the spring 2021, will not be held.

Despite the fact that the on-site launch has been postponed, the App has been made available to the visiting public on site and is downloadable on Google Play and the Mac App Store, for Android phones and iPhones only, as "Pterocarpus Forest".

The App includes an evaluation and donation section. Thus far, users of the App (on site) have given it very positive reviews as has been the word-of-mouth feedback. The donation section has yet to produce results, but we are hopeful that that will be another result. We hope to include new signage on-site, using a QR Code, so that visitors can make immediate donations in support of our efforts, whether they’ve used the App during their visit or not.

The App is a dynamic educational tool, so that you can expect periodic content changes and technological improvements to help the visitor better appreciate natural change within and around the Pterocarpus Forest.

Finally, an updated version of the story about the existence and availability of the App in the magazine Live & Life in Palmas in October,has been converted to a press release, with dissemination expected between now and the end of March 2021 in traditional and social media.
