Assistive Device support to 1000 Disabled Persons

I hope you and your family members, friends are fine and safe. Thank you very much for all your support that has enabled people with disability to live a very dignified, and meaningful life. Have you ever imagined the world without sound? You just imagine Yanni plays a piece of music for you, the song you love it. He plays music, sings to entertain you, to make you feel joyous.  What if the soulful music does not reach to you, you can not hear, you can see Yanni playing music, but can not hear the music. This is what happens to the children with hearing impairment, they have ears, minor defects in the ear canal, and the result is they can not hear properly, and that impaired their speech. Now, technology advances in the field of rehabilitation, new devices has already been developed for hearing impairment, one of them is Digital Hearing Aid. 

BPA has initiated a movement to provide digital hearing aid to the children with hearing impairment mainly those are school going. I am glad to share the story of a young boy Manav. Manav is a 9-year young child, having a cognitive hearing problem. His parents had spent a good amount of money on medical trials with the hope of recovery, that turned into despair. The serious hearing loss also impaired Manav speech. His parent was very depressed.

One day, they came into contact with BPA team and explained them to bring Manav for an audiological check-up at BPA. They brought him to BPA. The audiologist assessed him, suggested a programming digital hearing aid to Manav. Again, this digital hearing aid was very expensive, its cost was around 25,000 Rs (350$). They do not have such financial capability to purchase. 

With your support, BPA was able to provide digital hearing aid to Manav without any charge. He got bilateral hearing aid free of charge. He was also given speech therapy for one year without any charge. This intervention was a miracle to Manav. He has started listening, following uttered words, and gradually started speaking words. The parents were so happy, and the smile on the face was a huge return on social investment. They had never believed and hope that Manave would speak. This happens only and only because of your support through this project.
