New Life Begins
New Life Begins

Dear Donors & Well Wishers,
Greetings from BPA India!!

We are so grateful to you for your generous and continuous support of our assistive devices project that aims to enable 1000 people with disabilities for independent living.

We are glad to inform you that we have touched 600 lives of people with disabilities, who are now independent, able to do their routine activities and enjoy a social, educational, economic and personal life.
We are to share another human interest story of Mr Abdullah from Kutch, Gujarat. Mr Abdullah lives in a very remote desert area of Gujarat, India with his wife and three daughters.

He was a truck driver by profession. He had a very beautiful, peaceful family life, that changed all of sudden. One day he met an accident while driving a truck. He was unconscious for two days. When he got consciousness, he felt that his one leg was amputated.

He went into a depression on he learned that he would not be able to walk, run or do any activities. His major worry was how his family would survive as he was jobless. He thought many times to commit suicide.

One day, the project team met during the home visit and explained to him about the use of artificial limbs, they showed him videos of people using artificial limbs for work, sports, and driving a vehicle. He was so happy to see such motivating videos. He was ready to come for artificial limbs. The measurement was done by the team, and training and fitment were done in BPA. He was so happy to feel when he stood again on his feet without any support.

This artificial limb has given him so much confidence back. He would start a new business, he said. He thanks the donors for this file-changing support.

During, this reporting period we have provided 38 artificial limbs and 10 tricycles to people with disabilities.
We request you continue your generous support and contribution to this project to enable people with disabilities for an independent and dignified life.
Thanking you once again

With Warm Regards
