Restoring Hope_ New Year Resolution

By Dr Bhushan Punani | General Secretary

Smiles makes day
Smiles makes day

We hope this report finds you well and in good spirits. We hope that 2024 brings you much happiness, prosperity, health, and peace. 2023 concluded in a highly optimistic tone. We were able to make contact with 368 individuals who have disabilities and give them a variety of helpful gadgets that greatly improve their day-to-day lives. They are now able to work in offices, attend colleges, and pursue business endeavors. You have the utmost gratitude from the people with disabilities and their families for your kind assistance.

I'd want to tell you the tale of Shreya, a sweet 10-year-old. When she was eight years old, a horrific accident claimed her leg. Her autorickshaw struck the electric pole on the way home from school. Sadly, her leg was outside when the autorickshaw struck the post. Because of how horrible that was for her, the doctor attempted to preserve her limb, but it was not possible, thus her leg had to be amputated. Her parents were so stressed out that they stopped having hope and closed their dreams. When she saw other friends playing video games, she got depressed since she couldn't play with them. She kept asking her parents when she would be able to walk and play again. Every day, the endearing girl's appeal faded.

Her prosthetic limbs were of very high grade. She was overjoyed to see an artificial leg and could walk without assistance. She seemed to have won the world, her grin elegant and her happiness contagious. After receiving training for a week, she was able to ride a bicycle and run around after a month.

Her goal is to develop into an athlete and compete in paralympic sports.
We sincerely appreciate your unwavering encouragement and support. We anticipate receiving additional assistance from you. Please encourage the friends and family in your social circle to help the cause you care about by telling them about this project.

We request you to visit our organization Blind People's Association India whenever you happen to be in India.

Thanking you
