Dear Donors, Well-Wishers, and Friends,

Greetings!

We are pleased to share with you the progress report on the distribution of assistive devices to 1,000 individuals. Your continued support has made this milestone possible, and we remain deeply grateful for your generosity.

We also wish to bring to your attention some recent findings that underscore the urgent and growing need for artificial limbs in India.

Severe health conditions such as crush injuries, cancer-related amputations, diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and neuropathy are major causes of limb loss. An epidemiological study conducted in Kolkata found that peripheral vascular disease (27.7%) and diabetic foot complications (32%) are the leading causes of lower limb amputations. Alarmingly, the most affected demographic is individuals in their 20s and 30s—members of our country’s most productive workforce.

While limb salvage surgeries are often more cost-effective over time than amputations, the challenge lies in access. Despite the increasing demand, access to assistive devices such as artificial limbs remains severely limited.

According to the World Health Organisation, only 1 in 10 people in India have access to the assistive products they need. This gap greatly hinders the ability of people with disabilities to lead independent, fulfilling lives and fully participate in society.

Recognising the urgent need of young people to fully participate in society, we have launched a special initiative to provide high-quality, low-carbon-footprint artificial limbs. This year, 135 individuals with disabilities from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh received these advanced prosthetics. The limbs are lightweight and designed for comfortable mobility on all surfaces. For many recipients, it was their first time receiving such high-quality limbs, and they expressed deep gratitude to the donors who had given them a renewed sense of freedom and a new lease on life.

We are sincerely grateful for your generous support of this noble cause. Your contribution is making a meaningful difference.

We kindly request you to share this project report with your friends and family to help raise awareness and encourage broader participation. Additionally, we invite you to consider taking a pledge for a monthly recurring donation to help sustain and grow our project activities over time.

Your continued support can create lasting impact.

Thanking You
