Arts Outreach Still Pending Due to Limited Funds

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We appreciate the donor who has supported the End Gender Violence through Arts, Dance and Drama project. Your support reflects concern for the safety of women and girls across different communities. At this stage, however, the donation received is still not sufficient to begin the planned outreach activities.

Gender violence remains a serious concern in many homes, schools, markets, and public spaces. In several communities, people are not fully aware of warning signs or where to seek help. Fear and silence continue to prevent many from speaking up, leaving harmful situations unchallenged.

This project is designed to use live performances as a way to pass important messages in a simple and relatable form. Through dance, drama, and storytelling, people can better understand the risks, recognize unsafe situations, and learn how to respond or seek support.

The outreach will take place in public areas where many people can be reached, including markets, schools, and community spaces. After each performance, there will be open discussions to guide people on available support options.

At the moment, these activities are yet to begin due to limited funds. With additional support, it will be possible to move forward and take these messages directly to communities where they are needed most.

We remain grateful for the support already received and hopeful that more assistance will make it possible to carry out this important work.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
