Greetings;
We recognize the importance of education about HIV/AIDS in the NW Region of Cameroon, Africa for women, men,youths and children on the run from their native villages and communities despite the ongoing continuous unsafe and hostile environment in the Anglophone provinces.
We have organized weekly training classes each Friday to provide ongoing training and education for families on the run in our new home area.
Although the need is still great in the area, we have been hampered in our efforts to educate this population in the field because many of the men, women and children are on the run from the area. We have not been able to fully develop the mobile project due to the ongoing conflict and danger of being in the area.
We find that children have not been spared from the patterns of violence, they have often been deliberately targeted or insufficiently protected or both. Our children have been subjected to trauma, insecuritly and displacement that come with arm conflict which might affect their ability to achieve their potential for learning.
We are hoping for an immediate cease fire to the hostilities plaguing the Anglophone Regions so as to preserve human lives being wasted on daily basis. Our children have been exposed to violence inluding sexual violence, gender violence, abduction, and other forms of explorationl and violence against children.
