Fighting Malnutrition in 10 Villages of Nyanza

From the $486,95 we received after bank charges and donation from Suyana foundation helped us to support 117 families in Karwiru village and Kadusenyi in Mubuga cell, in Rwabicuma sector. Each household was given 2 chickens, 3 fruit trees, 10banana suckers, manure and a kitchen garden planted with various vegetables, all in the fight against malnutrition, poverty and to promote food security.

On 29/12/2022 and 31/01/2023, a group of 12 employees of Dufatanye Organization traveled for an hour to the village of Karwiru and Kadusenyi, in Mubuga cell. We supported 117 families, consisting of more than 702 family members; we gave 234 chickens, 351 fruit trees, 1170 banana suckers, 8 tons of manure, built 117 kitchen gardens and planted vegetables.

Before giving them this support, we gave them various trainings, including good family management, family finance management and good agriculture practices.

After receiving this support, we continue to advise, monitor to help them develop the support they received in a sustainable way.

In the testimony given by the beneficiary Valerie thanked God, the donors and Dufatanye Organization, said that: "I thank God for meeting me with Dufatanye Organization. My granddaughter will not get sick from malnutrition because she will eat eggs and vegetables. God bless them” 

We still have 183 needy families to be supported to fight malnutrition and poverty.
