Many families in Ghana face chronic food insecurity, leaving children, the elderly, and low-income households at risk of hunger and malnutrition. This project provides emergency food relief and sustainable community-based food programs to improve access to nutritious meals.
Poverty, limited access to food markets, and seasonal crop failures leave households vulnerable to hunger and malnutrition. Without immediate and sustained interventions, children and other vulnerable family members face serious health risks and reduced opportunities for growth and development.
This project will distribute emergency food packages to vulnerable families while establishing community gardens and training families in sustainable food production. By combining immediate relief with long-term food production skills, families can access nutritious meals during crises and develop lasting food security.
The project will improve household nutrition, strengthen food security, empower families with sustainable food production skills, reduce reliance on emergency aid, and build resilient communities capable of handling future food shortages.
