Dear donors,
The last three months have been surprisingly active, with an elevated level of excitement from both students and teachers, once the State publicly announced the opening of all schools in April. Finally… back to real life!
Values education with Aprendiendo a Querer at the four schools we dedicated our 2020 GlobalGiving funds to: Manuela Perdomo Almeida; La Gracia de Dios; Alfredo Almeida, and Creación Calle Páez, in Sabaneta, Municipio Revenga, Aragua State, in Venezuela led to interest from several other schools in the surroundings. We attended their calls, visited and evaluated their needs, made our presentations and shared our results, and the good news is that they have signed up for next year! This first encouraging step has led us to design our next round of Empower Venezuelan Children to Succeed GlobalGiving campaign that will start very soon!
Not wanting to waste any time, and having received formal approval for implementation, just last month we jumped to the second step, performing multiple training workshops for a total of 235 new teachers. This training is encouraged for all new schools. We dedicate 16 hours to motivate the teachers, highlight their crucial role in forming new generations, prove the importance of values education, and finally teach the methodology of our curriculum.
Now, our third step will be to fundraise to provide textbooks for 2900 wonderful Elementary, Middle School and High School Venezuelan students! Full details will be provided in our next campaign.
Once again, we will be reaching out and requesting your generous help and support!
