Ms.Pothumponnu is a tribe woman living in Katralamparai of Palani hills. Her forefathers have been living since the ancient period. Upper caste and outside people with forest department are exploiting them. Traditional and customary rights are refused and so they are being exploited in all mater from MFP collection and welfare scheme adoption. Our girl and women are facing severe exploitation and abuses into remote forest. Now we are under the following training, Skill training on MFP processing and rights based empowerment training on human rights and women rights are process. Now we are trained in human right and women right. Skill training on MFP processing we are also involving in self defense.
ROSI foundation has provided economical / income generation support for the businesses of honey bee making, goat rearing, MFP etc
