Dear Donors and GlobalGiving,
Considering the persistent violence mostly perpetuated by youths during political activities in Sierra Leone, potentially, rubrics of this project is gear towards bringing youths together through medium of organized outdoor inter-community SOCIAL ACTIVITIES (games/sports etc.) where they will have opportunity to interact with one another since social activities are easy means of bringing people together more especially youths. In the process, we will use this medium to preach and campaign a message on “NO VIOLENCE BY YOUTHS IN POLITICS” more especially during and after electioneering activities. This project is ongoing with a lot of community engagement using both focus group discussions, radio talk shows etc.
This project is facing some challenges with regards funds to supports its activities, as we intend to hold these social activities but with no available funds at the moment, so the best bet now is to do community engagement. We are still looking forward to support which will enable us to do these desired activities in the project.
We are asking our donors and globalgiving to help in this direction.
