In Congo, since the election of the new President, the political situation is stalling. From one side this means that there is peace between the factions, on the other side it means that no roads, hospitals and schools are beeing built.
During 2018 the Ebola virus made a lot of victims but luckily it never reached the Lumumbashi area because there are no connection between this area and the Kiwu area in which the virus spread.
At the Balou center the situation is costantly improving both in the education aspect and the human one thanks to the unstopable energy of the director, m.me Maguy, and the help of her amazing staff.
The guests keep coming and now we take care of more than 220 boys and girls!
During our last trip there m.me Maguy thanked us for the things we sent in the container, especially for the washing machine and the generator.
Sadly the energy situation is not improving. Most of the center is often left in the dark and we are still raising funds to build the photovoltaic sistem that could solve this problem for good.
We hope you keep supporting us and tell your friends to join our effort to help our kids.
Thank you
