By Francesca Pellegatta | Junior Project Leader
Dear Donors,
our monitoring trip has begun! At the beginning of September our country manager Francesco has finally come back to the Democratic Republic of Congo and in particular to Lubumbashi, in the south of the Country. Francesco will stay on the field till the end of the month and he is visiting all our projects and local representatives.
Our project “Renewable energy for 200 disable kids in Congo” takes an important place in this trip because the organization of the installation of a photovoltaic system must be really well planned. Francesco, in collaboration with other volunteers of Aleimar and our local representatives, will follow all the phases of customs clearance, transport and assembly of all the components.
The Balou Center hosts vulnerable disable children and, thanks to this photovoltaic system, it will finally have a constant availability of electricity (which is now available just for an hour a day) and all the activities of the center will rely on a more independent electricity supply. We are looking forward to showing all the panels assembled to all of you!
Thanks to your support all this has been possible and we will keep you updated through pictures and videos that Francesco will send from Congo. Despite this goal reached, our efforts in favor of all the children supported will never stop and we will try to always improve their life. Be part of this change!
Thank you!
