Equipping Hands for Effective Communication

Dear Partners,

I hope you had started 2023 well. I want you to know that we’re indeed grateful for you and your continued commitment and support to our cause, together to diversify our partners/friends like you and supercharge activists to be as effective as possible.

Many of you donated generously to KCSD in support of our work and on behalf of KCSD I say THANK YOU.  Because of your support we were able to impact lives of 50 deaf children to access high-quality sign language acquisition device and supporting deaf children’s' well-being is a globally recognized solution hence breaking the cycle of poverty.

Holistic approach, when we were doing a project on ending deaf-child sign language acquisition barriers, for instance, deaf-children themselves were in the focus cooperative play-group discussions to brainstorm some of the issues and ways of addressing the obstacles. Parents and teachers participates in the process and to see no one is left behind.

Our agenda of 2023, is to eradicate barriers facing deaf children. When deaf children living in extreme poverty have access to language, education and are equipped with the proper needed devices to support language acquisition, they break the cycle and set a new standard for their lives and the world they envision. When educated, deaf children have heightened opportunities to step into their potential. When loved and empowered, they find their voice. When modelled with positive behavior and empathy, they grow into future with confidence.

Looking forward for more collaboration with you in 2023 for ways to facilitate deaf education through play-based learning across the globe through peer-to-peer learning opportunities.
